Production Blog: Final Films

 Filming for this part of Chapter 2 went surprisingly well. We started with the scene of my alarm going off, which set the perfect tone for the morning. The sound of the alarm was crisp and attention-grabbing, reflecting the urgency of the moment. As I got out of bed, we captured the character’s immediate shock and determination, which felt authentic and relatable. Moving into the kitchen for the breakfast scene added depth to my character. The crew was efficient in setting up the lighting, giving the scene a warm and inviting feel. As I prepared my meal, I focused on conveying a sense of calm before the storm, which helped ground the character amidst the excitement. We also added a scene of jogging as I thought it helps develop a nice character personalization. When the phone rang, signifying the call from my friend, there was a palpable shift in the atmosphere.  Throughout the entire editing process, we used Adobe Premiere Pro as our main editing software. This powerful tool made it easier to manage video, audio, and sound design elements seamlessly. In Premiere Pro, I worked with multiple audio tracks, which was key for layering the added engine sounds and background music. The software's user-friendly timeline allowed me to adjust volumes and synchronize sound effects with the visuals. For example, when I incorporated the new engine sounds, I utilized keyframes to create smooth transitions, ensuring the audio matched the on-screen action perfectly. Additionally, Premiere Pro’s audio editing features helped me tackle the wind noise that appeared in some scenes.
