Production blog: first filming day

 So today is the first filming day. We started with picking an outfit the makes my dad look bigger. We are also going for a more thug but also mysterious look. We picked dark pants, boots, and a leather jacket. The next step was prepping the camera. I put the camera in the gimbal, balanced it, and then we were ready to go. The way we started the clip was with a down angle of the paper. He then closes the folder then grabs a car key. We have yet to film the rollers but then we cut to the car being parked. The wheel badge is shown coming to a stop. The door then opens a black boot steps out. It then cuts to him walking down the hallway with the camera low not showing his face and rotating around his body. He stops at the mail drop off and then puts a lock pick into the mail box. This would be illegal but it is for our house, and the camera does a brief cut to when he gets it open. Production Blog: Finishing Chapter 2

 To finish filming Chapter 2, we need to capture a few important scenes. The sequence begins with the sound of my alarm going off. This moment signifies the start of a new day, filled with both excitement and anxiety. As I get out of bed, we want to convey a sense of urgency. Next, I’ll move to the kitchen to make breakfast. This scene will add a relatable touch, showing a bit of normalcy before the chaos of the race. Cooking will allow us to introduce some personality and illustrate my character's daily life. While I’m preparing my meal, I receive a phone call from my friend. This call is a key moment in the story. My friend shares the thrilling news that I’ve qualified for the final street race. This revelation raises the stakes and adds tension to the scene. I’ll react with a mix of excitement and nerves, reflecting how much this means to me. Production Blog: Time Check And Review

 As we move forward with our film, it's time to look back at what we've done so far and see how everything is shaping up. We have a maximum runtime of 5 minutes, and we've filmed some important scenes, especially the exciting street race between MC in the Camaro and the rival in the Daytona Charger. So far, we've captured about 3:23 minutes of footage. Recently, we took the time to review what we've filmed. During our review sessions, we focused on the pacing and emotional impact of each scene. We wanted to make sure that the excitement of the race stood out while also setting up the teenage dialogue that we still need to shoot. The editing team put together a rough cut, showcasing the most thrilling moments and key interactions between the characters. We had some great discussions as a team while going through the footage.
