Production blog: after school film day

  1. After our school day was over, my friend Connor came over to my house to collaborate on filming for our short film project. We started by setting up the camera in the living room, adjusting the lighting and framing for the scene we planned to shoot. Once everything was set up, we moved to my room to film additional scenes, ensuring each shot captured the desired mood and emotion. Connor and I carefully mounted the camera on a tripod to ensure stability and precision in our shots. As we progressed with filming, we realized the need for some sportier attire to enhance certain scenes. Fortunately, we had prepared ahead of time and had some sporty clothes available for the characters in the film. We decided to incorporate drone shots into our project to add a dynamic and aerial perspective to the narrative. Connor offered his expertise in piloting drones, and together, we planned out the shots we wanted to capture. With Connor's assistance, we filmed some impressive drone shots of us on a light jog through a nearby park. The drone footage added a cinematic quality to our project, elevating the visual storytelling. Throughout the filming process, Connor provided valuable insights and suggestions, enhancing the overall quality of our shots. We collaborated closely to ensure each scene was executed according to our vision for the film. As the day progressed, we maintained a positive and productive atmosphere, fueled by our shared passion for filmmaking. We took breaks as needed to review footage, make adjustments, and discuss any changes or improvements. Connor's technical skills and creativity were instrumental in bringing our ideas to life on screen. We experimented with different camera angles and movements to add visual interest and depth to our shots. The process of filming with Connor was not only productive but also enjoyable, as we shared laughs and bonded over our shared love for filmmaking. As the sun began to set, we wrapped up filming for the day, satisfied with the progress we had made. After Connor left, I reviewed the footage we captured, feeling excited about the potential of our project. Overall, working with Connor was a rewarding experience, and I looked forward to continuing our collaboration on future projects.
