  1. After gathering all the footage, we began the meticulous process of editing, starting with organizing the clips chronologically. We carefully reviewed each scene, ensuring it flowed seamlessly with the next to maintain narrative coherence. Our first step was to assemble the clips of the after-school acting scenes, focusing on capturing the emotions and interactions between the characters. We then integrated the shots of the light jog, adjusting the pacing to match the energy of the scene and adding dynamic transitions for fluidity.Next, we incorporated the footage of the mysterious man, strategically placing these shots to heighten suspense and intrigue throughout the film. The car shots were seamlessly integrated, emphasizing the speed and intensity of the action while maintaining visual continuity with the rest of the scenes.
  2. Throughout the editing process, we paid close attention to color grading, adjusting hues and tones to enhance the mood and atmosphere of each scene. For the after-school scenes, we opted for warm tones to evoke a sense of familiarity and comfort. In contrast, the light jog scenes were color graded with vibrant, energetic tones to convey the exhilaration of the activity.
  3. The shots featuring the mysterious man were color graded with cooler, desaturated tones to emphasize the enigmatic nature of the character. As for the car shots, we employed a combination of dark, moody tones and dramatic lighting effects to heighten tension and suspense. We experimented with various visual effects and transitions to add visual interest and captivate the audience's attention.Sound design played a crucial role in enhancing the overall atmosphere of the film, with carefully selected music and sound effects complementing the visuals. Each cut was scrutinized to ensure it contributed to the narrative progression and maintained audience engagement. Collaborative discussions were instrumental in refining the editing decisions, with input from both of us helping to elevate the final product.
  4. We iteratively refined the edit, making adjustments to pacing, timing, and composition to achieve the desired emotional impact.
